About Beverley

Beverley Davison (Beverley Sanderson in old money) graduated in 1993 with a degree in Accounting and Management Control. Following a year working in both the Finance and Planning departments of Merseyside Development Corporation, she joined national award winning property developers, Urban Splash in 1994.

Beverley was a key member of the growing team, covering everything from reception, setting up office management procedures right through to presenting management accounts to the board, and selling the odd apartment in between!

As Urban Splash grew, Beverley took on responsibility for the HR function, setting up all systems as staff numbers grew from 70 to over 270, and the business expanded into other regions and products. She dealt with all HR issues that arose within the business, be it at board level, within a regional office or at one of the many construction sites. In 2002, she achieved a Masters in Personnel and Development and became a chartered member of the CIPD in 2007.

When the recession hit, Beverley managed a difficult programme to dramatically reduce the headcount in the business through a combination of TUPE and redundancies, and was involved in both group and individual consultations as well as producing all the necessary paperwork. It is a significant achievement that not one tribunal claim was received during this extensive programme.

In 2013, Beverley left Urban Splash and established Bead Consulting and is now working with other new and growing businesses. She understands the challenges smaller businesses face and has the experience and sensitivity to give HR support at any level. Beverley hopes to share her knowledge and experience on flexible and friendly terms.
